High School All-State Choir Auditions
The purpose of this form is to notify VCDA Event Chairs/Hosts of any accommodations that
may be necessary to provide an inclusive experience for students or directors for
VCDA-sponsored events.
Sight-Reading Requirements:
● The example will be 8 measures long, measures 1-2 and 5-6 will be identical.
● Soprano/Tenor will sight-read in Eb, Alto/Bass will sight-read in C.
● Tenors will have the choice to read in Treble clef or Bass clef.
● Compositional Elements include: a range of an octave; Skips - Do, Mi, Sol; Quarter rests: Whole notes, half notes, dotted quarter notes, quarter notes and eighth notes.
The student may NOT start over on the sight reading
